The silence stared at me as it rained tears.
For many a century, I stood there watching the drops.

Incoherent thoughts drenched me with fears
As I stood there watching those teardrops.

Melodies changed, memories passed
And I stood there watching those blood drops.

Cankering eruditions of scholars stopped
And it was their time to go back; the bus stops

For them and the time stops for me.
I wait alone with the last of hopes.

Tomorrow, I’ll be one of those sculptures
Over which the bird perches.

Tomorrow, I’ll bleed water
And I hope you think of me when it rains

Blood.
The blood that gave you life; lifeblood.
